Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently juggling multiple projects. He has almost wrapped up shooting for Vishvambhara and is putting final touches to Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu. Upon completion, he will give the green signal to a massive new venture. This upcoming film, tentatively titled Mega 158, will be directed by Bobby Kolli and is slated as a pan-India release.
The casting and technical crew selection for Mega 158 have been hot topics in film circles. A key update reveals Mollywood’s top DOP Nimish Ravi will handle cinematography. Nimish, known for Luka, Kurup, King of Kotta, and Tollywood debut Lucky Bhaskar, is currently working on Suriya 46. His involvement has intensified the hype around the Chiranjeevi-Bobby project.
Rumors suggest Mega 158 will feature two heroes, with Tamil star Karthi as one of them. Anurag Kashyap is being considered for the antagonist role. Malavika Mohanan’s name was floated for the heroine but she denied it. For music, S. Thaman was initially linked, later Devi Sri Prasad entered the race, and the final choice is awaited.
The duo’s previous collaboration, Waltheru Veerayya, became a huge hit during Sankranthi 2023, grossing over ₹230 crores. Fans are eagerly awaiting their next joint effort. Mega 158 is being produced on a grand scale by Venkat K Narayana and Lohith under KVN Productions. Shooting is expected to commence right after Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu wraps up.
