The Telugu Desam  Party  has raised its  voice once a gain  demanding the Government to  constitute  and revamp  the  present Tirumala  Tirupati  Devasthanam  Board to  maintain the sanctity  of the  temple.

The Tdp  chief  alleged that  the  present TTD Board Chairman D K Adikesavulu Naidu is a liquor baron and an "atheist",  so he does not deserve to head  such an organization.

When such  a person is heading an orgainstation like TTD many  irregularities  are creeping   thus  causing an embarrassment to the  devotees of the Tirumala.  He  leveled charges against the TTD in sale of tickets for paid rituals at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.

If  a person of spiritual bent up of  mind  is heading TTD  then  this sort of irregularities will not  occur, he felt.

Recently, the Tdp chief Chandrababu Naidu, and  Praja Rajyam President and Tirupati MLA Chiranjeevi  trekked to Tirumala, the abode of  Venkateswara, to press for their demands and held a sit-in in front of the administrative building of the TTD at Tirupati.

Apart from the opposition raised by  TTD and  PRP,  some regional TV channels have also been running a campaign for "cleansing" the temple brass.
