Suspended Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Ambati Rambabu intends to write to Andhra Pradesh party in-charge and Law Minister M Veerappa Moily explaining his stand.

Ambati who met newsmen at Somajiguda Press Club on Thursday said he is yet to receive any communication from the party over his suspension. He learnt about the disciplinary action from the media, he revealed.

“I don’t even know what charges were framed against me for the suspension. I want to know all and will soon write to Moily for a clarification,” he said.

Rambabu, a close aide of Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy, was served a show-cause notice by the High command, a fortnight ago for making comments against the Chief Minister. The party disciplinary action committee should have heard his  reply before suggesting disciplinary action, Rambabu felt.

However, before he could reply to the disciplinary committee, the High Command has announced his suspension. ''Some vested interests were campaigning against me and want to finish my political career,'' he fumed.

Ambati said he worked for the party as a disciplined soldier for over 20 years. Justifying his criticism against Rosaiah he said he had not made any personal comments.
