Dr Rajasekhara Reddy also was quiet clear that his brother, Mr Y S Vivekananda Reddy, who filed his nomination papers form the Kadapa Local Bodies Constituency in the Legislative Council on Wednesday will not be taken into the Ministry.

Talking to media persons here on Thursday, Dr Rajasekhara Reddy said that only members from the Assembly will be given berth in the proposed Cabinet expansion. “Council members will not get a chance, particularly Mr Y S Vivekananda Reddy will not be taken into the Cabinet,” he said.

Dr Reddy said that his Government will henceforth shift its focus on building the Congress organizational setup in the State and also on the welfare of the people of the State. “We will now concentrate on strengthening the party with a view to winning more number of seats in the 2014 general election. Thus, we need to further strengthen the party and also shift our attention of the effective implementation of the welfare programs,” he observed.

As part of plan, the Government is going for “Ratchabanda” programme from September only to further making the village-level administration more powerful and effective, he observed. “Our aim is to win all the 42 Lok Sabha seats in the 2014 polls,” he said and observed that the present “Ratchabanda” programme is no comparison to the surprise checks conducted by Mr N Chandrababu Naidu during the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) regime.

He shrugged off any plan to celebrate 100 days of completion of his Government in office. “Ours is not a cinema nor we are film actors to celebrate 100 days functions,” he remarked.
