Minister’s remark on Naidu irks TDP MLAs

Hyderabad, Aug 19 :

 The Telugu Desam MLAs on Wednesday appealed to the Assembly Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy to direct Minister for Agriculture Raghuveera Reddy to withdraw his personal remarks made against TDP Legislature Party Leader N Chandrababu Naidu.The members demanded the Minister to withdraw his statements made against Chandrababau Naidu and called for the removal of the minister from the Cabinet.

In the assembly they raised slogans against the Minister and squatted in front of the Speaker podium demanding action against the Minister. While making a statement on drought, Minister Raghuveera Reddy asked the TDP leader Naidu to reveal the secret as how he could earn Rs 2,000 crore with only two acres of land to his credit. With the Minister’s remark, the House erupted into turmoil.

Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar said that those remarks would not be recorded and adjourned the House for the day abruptly. However, the TDP members continued their dharna for 20 minutes even after adjournment.
