II phase of counseling from Sept 20

Hyderabad, Aug 13 :

 Following the directions from the Chief Minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, the Higher Education Council has decided to go for the second phase of engineering counseling in September.

The counseling would be held in view of change of branches in some colleges by the AICTE and also to provide a second chance to students who may not be pleased with the seat allotment for various reasons.

Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) Chairman Prof K C Reddy said that there was a change in intake in around 20 colleges as they had opted for streams like EEE, ECE, Mechanical and Civil in place of IT.

Prof Reddy said the academic calendar would not be disturbed despite the second phase of counseling and the certificates verification would be held between September 20 and September 25 for Eamcet engineering stream. Icet counseling would be held between September 13 and September 18.The counseling for Bipc candidates would be held between September 3 and September 7.
