The Chief Minister was not alone. He was accompanied by Union Minister Jaipal Reddy and State Tourism and Public Relations Minister Dr Geetha Reddy, Medical Education and Health Insurance Minister Galla Aruna  Kumari, Congress president D Srinivas, Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP  KVP Ramachandra Rao, senior Congress leader V.Hanumantha Rao, Chief Secretary S.V Prasad, DGP R.R Girish Kumar, Sasidhar Reddy and others.

The Chief Minister took part in formal Hindu rituals and Homam while entering the Camp Office residence vacated by Kadapa MP Y.S Jagan recently. Jagan left the camp office on October 1 before shifting to his sister Sharmila’s house in the posh Banjara Hills area of the city.

The camp office had been occupied by Jagan’s father and former chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy who died in a copter crash on September 2 last.

Considered jinxed for quite some time, the house was refurbished for the occupation of Rosaiah who faced initial intra-party turmoil and unrest in the state immediately after he occupied the seat of the Chief Minister. The modifications were made as per Vaastu, party insiders say.

Till recently, Rosaiah was residing at his SR Nagar residence and was using it as his camp office. Due to security reasons and other difficulties faced for conducting official work from his residence, the Chief Minister decided to  move to the official residence.
