CM’s trip to Chittoor cancelled

The scheduled tour of  Chief Minister K Rosaiah to Chittoor district  on Saturday  stands  cancelled   according to an official press release  here on Friday.

Originally  the  CM was  supposed to visit  Chittoor  on Saturday but instead  the CM  will be proceeding to  Chennai  to  meet Prime Minister  Manmohan Singh  in Chennai. Manmohan  Singh  is expected to reach  Chennai on Saturday to inaugurate  the new assembly building  for  TamilNadu.

The six-storied  building was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.425.57 crore in  an area of 86,458 sq.m at  Omandurar government estate.  The state's budget for 2010-11 will be presented at the new assembly complex  on March 19.
