Warangal, Feb 3: The relay fast launched by advocates at the courts complex here for Telanagan statehood entered  41 days on Wednesday. The hunger strike at the Arts and Science College entered 40th day and 38th day at Kakatiya University.Relay hunger strike camps, rallies, human chains, Bathukamma plays, Dhoom-Dham and other  agitational devices are being adopted by activists.

Kakatiya University JAC members are on `Yatra’ to parts of district. Some members are on padayatra to mobilize students for ‘polikeka’, which will be held on Feb 7. Political JAC is also supporting the ‘polikeka’.Those on fast are getting help from unexpected quarters like complete waiver of charges by tent owners, discounted prices for making posters and flower-venders are selling readymade garlands for activists of relay hunger strike. Telangana teachers JAC of Warangal district said its members will go on indefinite strike, if necessary, to intensify the movement for Telangana state.

Speaking to this correspondent, district PRTU president A Rama Rao demanded that the Centre tableTelangana Bill in the budget session of Parliament.Meanwhile, a large number of Muslims staged a rasta-roko in Hasanparty on National Highway-202 in protest against MIM’s indifference to the Telangana issue.Muslims of Telangana have never regarded the MIM as the sole representative of our community as the party has no presence except in Old City area and a small presence in Karimnagar, said Muslim leader Mohd Abu Baker, demanding that the Centre should not consider the views of MIM representative.
