CPI to inspect Bayyaram mines

Khammam, Jan. 22:  A team of delegates from the Communist Party of India will visit the Bayyaram iron ore mines in the district on January 28.Cpi Central Committee Member Puvvada Nageswar Rao told newsmen on Friday that the team will comprise state unit party secretary Narayana among others to observe the irregularities in the mines.

“The company which has a licence to explore ores in the region has been trespassing the rules in the digging agreement,” he alleged. He demanded that the government stop the digging and cancel the licences. “If the government does not take action against the company, we will stage agitations in the state in a big way” he warned.
