Hyderabad, Jan 20: Stressing the  need for transparency in the implementation of welfare schemes, Chief  Minister  K Rosaiah on Wednesday urged the District Collectors to put the administration back on the fast track at the earliest.Delivering the inaugural address of the two-day District Collectors' conference here on Wednesday, Rosaiah outlined his government's six-point agenda. The CM asked the collectors to coordinate with their respective departments and people's representatives and be sensitive to the issues concerning SCs, STs, BCs, minorities, women and the disabled.

Quoting Jawaharlal Nehru, Rosaiah said `` there is no life without problems. When we encounter the problems only then the efficiency of a person comes to the fore. Whatever the movement, it maybe, it should not  cause any inconvenience to the  public. Due to the movement the students should not suffer.’’The collectors are a bridge between the people and the Government. The CM instructed the collectors to visit the rural areas and ensure that the Government loans reach the farmers in time for the Rabi crop.

The CM asked the collectors to tour their respective districts extensively so that the public distribution system is taken care of. In the same manner they should also monitor the functioning of Government hostels  for SCs/STs  and BCs.The CM advised the collectors to popularize the Arogyashree scheme and other welfare schemes so that many more rural people may be benefited.
