Speaking to media persons on the occasion, Prof. Kodandaram said that there were no politics behind his struggle for the farmers’ issues. He said that he was only doing his duty as a responsible citizen. He said that it was also the duty of the government to ensure speedy disbursal of the compensation and other relief for the farmers who are suffering due to various issues concerning the farm sector in the state. The government should not try to find out any political angle in the farmers’ struggle and should concentrate on solving the issues.
