Hyderabad, Jan 16:  Refuting the reports which appeared in certain channels that there were attacks on him and his convoy on Saturday, Health Minister Danam Nagender said ``the people of Telangana only asked me to spell out my stand but did not attack me.’’ ``I can understand their agony and emotion and I respect them,’’ said the Minister. ``But these road blockades and gheraos will do no good for Telangana agitators.

They only cause inconvenience to the others, and will give a negative impression to others,’’ the Minister observed.Regarding his resignation, the Minister said that he would abide by  the Congress High Command’s  decision.If  the Telangana agitators assure me that there will be no violence in Hyderabad then I will withdraw the proposed peace rally in Hyderabad, the minister stated.The minister alleged that there is a conspiracy to bring down the  Rosaiah Government in the state, and he appealed to the Congress leaders to keep away from  such activities.It is reported that Danam  Nagender faced the wrath of Telangana supporters during his tour of Nalgonda district on Saturday.

At  Kolanupaka village in Nalgonda district, the  Telangana supporters staged a  rasta-roko and interrupted the  minister’s convoy  interrupting  his journey.At Ganeshpalli village in Jagdevpur mandal of Medak district the convoy was once again interrupted by Telangana supporters. Not satisfied with the ministers response on Telangana issue some of the agitated youth stoned his convoy.
