Hyderabad, Jan 4: The Telangana unit of Praja Rajyam Party has moved the High Court on Monday in a bid to stop party president K Chiranjeevi from attending the eight-party conclave in New Delhi on Jan 5.Chiranjeevi is among the invitees to the conclave, convened by the Centre to build a consensus on the issue of creation of a separate Telangana.Telangana Praja Rajyam Party president EV Venugopal told media persons that a House motion was filed in the High Court to restrain Mr Chiranjeevi from attending the Delhi conclave.

The House Motion also sought the High Court to direct the Centre to invite a TPRP leader for the meet.Accusing Chiranjeevi of performing a volte face on the issue, Venugopal said that Chiranjeevi has no right to present his views at the conclave. He accused Chiranjeevi of going back on his words of supporting a separate Telangana state before the elections and reneging on his words.Mr Venugopal also termed Union Home Minister P Chidambaram’s decision to invite Mr Chiranjeevi as undemocratic, unethical and ridiculous.
