Hyderabad,Dec 29:Members of Parliament having affinity with Telangana region on Tuesday urged Chief Minister K Rosaiah to permit students to hold the `Vidyarthi Garjana’ rally on January 3.The MPs appealed to the CM to lift all police cases filed against the students and sought directions to the police to carry out their operations in an impartial manner while dealing with the students of Telangana region.Pressing the need to withhold the controversial APPSC recruitments the MPs asked the CM to deal with the students in a delicate manner.

They gave a call to all the leaders,students and others to bring pressure on the State Government and the Centre for a separate Telangana.As reported earlier, the students have planned to organise a massive convention called ‘Vidyarthi Garjana’ on January 3 here to press the Centre to announce the formation of Telangana. However, Hyderabad Police Commissioner B Prasada Rao did not accord permission for such a programme.The Joint Action Committee which stood behind the ‘Garjana’, also threatened to lay siege to the city if the Centre failed to initiate the process for formation of Telangana by January 2.
