Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has assured to consider the request of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar to increase the FRBM limit of Telangana State to enable it to get more loans.

Accompanied with TRS MPs B. Vinod Kumar and Jithender Reddy, KCR called on Jailtely at New Delhi on Tuesday. During the meeting, KCR urged the Finance Minister to increase Centrals funds for various projects of the State Government and also sought some relaxations in taxation.

Speaking to media persons later, Jailtely said he would conduct a meeting with the senior officials of his department to consider the request made by Telangana CM.

Meanwhile, Telangana Government's Special Representative in New Delhi Venugopalchary told reporters that KCR has briefed Jaitely about various schemes being implemented by the Telangana Government. He said that the Centre has been asked to provide funds for projects like Mission Kakatiya and Water Grid. He said additional funds have been sought for drought hit mandals of Telangana so as to help the affected farmers.

Later, KCR, along with Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao, called on Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and submitted a proposal for development of 4,000 KM stretch of National Highways in the State. He also urged him to construction National Highway and a dry port in all the districts of Telangana.

Gadkari has assured to develop 1300 KM of National Highways in Telangana and said a notification in this regard would be issued soon. He also assured to implement the assurance given to Telangana State in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
