Hyderabad, Dec 21: The Police force in the state has come in for severe criticism from a Congress leader who is in favour of a separate Telangana state, over the missing and the subsequent resurfacing of Vijayawada Member of Parliament Lagadapati Rajagopal.Speaking to media persons, former minister Jeevan Reddy alleged that Mr Rajagopal’s vanishing and the resurfacing episode was nothing other than a ‘drama’ to catch the attention of the media.

Describing Mr Rajagopal’s action as irresponsible act which has the potential of triggering violence all over the state,he said that the Vijayawada MP should have approached the AICC with his argument. The Congress party pro-Telangana leader alleged collusion between the State police and unnamed politicians to destabilise the state and Central governments. The Vijayawada MP, on a fast in favour of an integrated Andhra Pradesh had earlier on Sunday night given the slip to police on guard at the hospital he was admitted to in Vijayawada and later resurfaced at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad on Monday afternoon.
