New Delhi,Dec 17: The Lok Sabha was adjourned for two hours during zero hour as Telugu Desam members from Coastal Andhra and Rayalseema regions disrupted the proceedings in the House protesting against the announcement for a separate Telangana state. As the House met for Question Hour, the TDP members opposed the division of Andhra Pradesh by displaying placards,``We want a united AP,’ they shouted before rushing to the Well of the House.Simultaneously,Congress members from the Telangana countered TDP members by showing placards favouring a separate state and raised ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans.

The MPs insisted that Speaker Meira Kumar take up a discussion on the controversial issue. However, Kumar assured the members that she would take up the issue during the zero hour.As the Speaker's repeated pleas to the TDP members to get back to their seats went unheeded, she adjourned the House for 15 minutes. When the House reassembled and the Question Hour got over, the House witnessed unrully scenes with TDP members trooping into the Speaker’s podium. As pandemonium prevailed, the Speaker adjourned the House for two hours.
