UPA handling of T-issue ‘immature’: Venkaiah

Bangalore, Dec 12: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday termed the ruling UPA government’s handling of the Telangana Issue as "most irresponsible." The former BJP president urged the Centre to ‘apply its mind’ on the issue and solve the current impasse.Naidu told newsmen here that "it is the most immature and irresponsible behaviour of the Government. They have messed up the issue." The government should apply its mind, he suggested.

Naidu further alleged that the Centre had not even consulted its own MPs and MLAs or Chief Minister and the Centre should have been very careful in tackling such situations since it involed regional feelings. Naidu also termed the statement by Home Minister P Chidambaram to revisit the chargesheet in connection with the Babri Masjid demolition case as ‘vendetta politics’ by the Congress.
