Hyderabad,Dec 9: Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Wednesday told the Assembly that the Centre should be given some time to take a decision on the Telangana issue, which is snowballing into a major controversy in the State in the wake of the indefinite fast launched by TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao.Responding to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi members' demand for passing a House resolution favouring formation of separate Telangana state, Rosaiah said the Union Government should be given time to take a decision on the Telangana issue. Rosaiah appealed to the TRS members to let the House take up business as per the agenda. The Telangana is a sensitive issue. It is not easy to pass a resolution.

Don't you want the resolution to win, if introduced. The issue is under consideration of the government. You have made your point. Let the House discuss other public issues of importance," he said.Rosaiah emphasized the need to observe restraint as tempers were running high over the issue. "It will be very difficult,if the situation goes out of control," he said."You have made your point. Let the House discuss other public issues of importance. In a democracy, the problems should be solved in a harmonious manner,'' he said and appealed to TRS activists to agitate peacefully for the cause of Telangana without causing any damage to public or private property.

I make a personal appeal on behalf of the House to withdraw his fast," he added.Telugu Desam Party leader N.Chandrababu Naidu also asked KCR to end his fast.TRS legislator T Harish Rao, however, stated that the Chief Minister was behaving like Nero who played fiddle while Rome was burning. "We expected Rosaiah to find a solution. When our leader Chandrasekhar Rao has been on fast for over ten days, you are not bothered," he blurted out.As Speaker N Kirankumar Reddy tried to go ahead with the scheduled agenda, the TRS members entered the well of the House and raised slogans forcing Reddy to adjourn the House.Later, the House was adjourned for the day over the TRS demand. For the second consecutive day, TRS members, holding placards, raised slogans and demanded that the House pass the resolution on Telangana state.
