Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has expressed his deepest condolences over the death of popular music director Chakri on Monday morning.

KCR described Chakri as a talented musician who has been snatched away by fate at such a young age.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu described Chakri's death as a huge loss for the Telugu cinema. He said Chakri has made huge contribution to the film industry at such a young age and the vacuum created due to his demise could not be fulfilled. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the family members of Chakri.

YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah, TDP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao and several other political personalities have condoled Chakri's death.

Cine actor and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna described Chakri's death as a personal loss. " I am a fan of Chakri and he is like my brother. He was a man with a big heart." Recalling his recent meeting with Chakri at the Memu Saitham programme, he said they discussed doing a film together.

Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi said that Chakri's death has left behind a void in the music world which could not be filled up.

Several prominent film personalities also conveyed their condolences and paid a visit to his house.
