Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will formally launch the crop loan waiver schemes on December 11.

According to sources, the Chief Minister will launch the scheme in Chittoor district wherein he would hand over the certificates among farmers stating that the that their loan has been waived along with interests.

The Andhra Pradesh Government has already announced the schedule for the implementation of the crop loan waiver scheme. All loans, not exceeding Rs 50,000, of small and marginal farmers are being waived off entirely in the first phase. The process, which began on December 6, is likely to be completely by January 22. The government has published the list of farmers and families eligible for the 100 per cent loan waiver and the same has been forwarded to Village Janmabhoomi Committees (VJC). It was planned to clear adjustment of amounts cleared as per the bank norms on December 10 and the amounts are scheduled to be deposited on December 12.

The list of beneficiaries is also forwarded to 6,500 banks and their branches.
