BJP will achieve "Magic 272" figure: Tarun Vijay

Bjp national spokesperson Tarun Vijay expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party would win a comfortable majority in the next elections to form the next government at the Centre.

Addressing a press conference at the State Bjp office here, Tarun Vijay claimed that there has been a wave across the country in favour of party's Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. He said that wave was similar to the one that former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru enjoyed in 1952 elections. Therefore, he said Bjp would easily touch the magic figure of 272 Lok Sabha MPs in the next elections.

Stating that the people were fed up with the corruption of Congress party, Tarun Vijay said that several people already declared as candidates were not willing to contest on Congress party's ticket and still exploring other options.

Speaking about the recent incidents of naxal violence in Chattisgarh, the Bjp leader said that the naxalites should be dealt like terrorist. He said that the Maoists were weakening the country and operating as tools of foreign forces.

Tarun Vijay, who was in Hyderabad to participate in the Intellectuals' Conference being organised by the Bjp on Friday evening, said that the party was not giving any hype to Modi's candidature.
