Law Minister Erasu Pratap Reddy said the people of Seemandhra were ready to face any consequences than accepting the division of Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference at Congress Legislature Party office here, Erasu said that the bifurcation of State was not acceptable under circumstances. He claimed that a majority of people in all the regions were against the division and they would be hurt if the State gets divided. Stating that the Seemandhra MPs have played a major role in formation of Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA), he asked as to why the Centre was treated the region and its people as its enemy and not taking its opinion into consideration.

Erasu accused the Centre of acting in haste in formation of Telangana and advise it stop the process immediately in the interest of Telugu people.
