Asaduddin Owaisi said that the Mim has made these submissions before the Group of Ministers (GoM) on Telangana. He also opposed the proposal of Hyderabad as the join capital of both the States. Instead, one mandal (Khairtabad) of Hyderabad can be made the common working area for both the States. He said unlike Chandigarh, Hyderabad could not serve as the common capital due to geographical limitations. He also reiterated the demand for Rayala-Telangana by including Anantapur and Kurnool in Telangana State. This would also resolve the possible disputes over sharing of water. The Mim President feared that the division of State would hurt the interest of Muslims in the State. He said that Sangh Parival and other communal forces would gain strength after the bifurcation of State. He said that his party was concerned about the Muslims, Dalits and other weaker sections in both the regions. He demanded that reservation and other benefits should continue after the bifurcation and Urdu language be made the first official language along with Telugu in Telangana State.

Asaduddin Owaisi also demanded that steps should be taken to provide protection to the people of Seemandhra living in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana region.
