Sonia will not reverse T-decision: DS

Former Pcc President D Srinivas on Tuesday announced that Congress President Sonia Gandhi would never change her decision on Telangana formation.

Talking to reporters after participating in the Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan, Srinivas said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Pcc President Botsa Satyanarayana should realise that the Congress leadership does not change its stand on policy matters under any kind of pressure. He said instead of backing the agitation, the Seemandhra leaders should accept the Congress Working Committee's decision and cooperate in the formation of Telangana.

Srinivas described the ongoing agitation in Seemandhra as superficial and said it could not be compared with the statehood agitation in the Telangana region.

The Congress MLC also ridiculed the claims of Seemandhra leaders that they developed Hyderabad. He said the city was already developed and the Seemandhra leaders have only looted the resources of Telangana.
