Hyderabad,Nov 14: The agitation that started in Lakshmipuram of Medak district over the encroachment  of assigned land to Dalits by Andhra settlers had spread to Raghavapur village in Siddipet.The challenge for open debate between Harish Rao, theTelangan Rashtra Samiti leader and Telugu Dsam  MLA  Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao on encroachment of assigned land to Daliths was foiled on Saturday by the arrest of Harish Rao.Harish Rao  who was  proceeding to Raghavapur Colony to counter the charges leveled against him by Hanumantha Rao was picked up buy the a police and was arrested.

The arrested MLA was shifted Gajwel police station.During the course of arrest of Harish Rao there was a minor tussle and jostling between the supporters of Harish Rao and the police.In the process one of Harish Rao’s supporter was injured and was sent for treatment to the hospital.With other supporters of Harish receiving minor injuries during their tussle with the police a tense situation prevailed.Meanwhile TDP MLA Hanumantha Rao set off for Raghavapur to take part in the open debate.

On Friday, Hanumantha Rao while being interviewed by a local TV channel said ``I have all the proofs to establish that Harish Rao’s relatives are involved in the encroachment of assigned land to Dalths.I can even quote the survey numbers of the land.’’With these remarks the situation turned out to be very grim .Earlier on Friday Hanumantha Rao alleged that Harish Rao and his relatives encroached a land of 110 acres in Raghavapuram .
