Reacting to the protests in Seemandhra Region over Centre's decision, Digvijay Singh described that the reaction as "natural" and said the emotions were strong on both the sides. However, he said some times hard decisions need to be taken and Telangana formation was a well-thought decision.

Digvijay Singh said that the Andhra could be a good State. It has natural gas, surplus energy and a long coastline. Therefore, the potential of growth and investments was huge in Seemandandhra region. Further, he said a new capital like Chandigarh and Gandhi Nagar would be created for Andhra. Therefore, the leaders from Seemandhra Region should think positively and avoid confrontation.
