All legislators of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were suspended for two days from Andhra Pradesh State legislative Assembly on Monday for stalling the proceedings of the House.

The legislators including TRS floor leader Etela Rajender, BJP floor leader E Lakshminarayana were suspended after Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy moved a resolution.

As soon as the House met on Monday, the TRS and BJP MLAs moved an adjournment motion seeking Telangana resolution in the House. However, Speaker Nadendla Manohar rejected all the adjournment motions moved by the opposition parties. Following rejection, the TRS and BJP members rushed to the Speaker's podium and started raising "Jai Telangana" slogans. The Speaker then adjourned the House for half-an-hour and called for a meeting with all floor leaders. However, the floor leaders' meeting failed to end the deadlock.

The TRS and BJP legislators continued their protest when the House re-assembled. Amid furore, the Speaker announced the suspension of TRS and BJP MLAs for two days.
