Vijayamma accuses State of neglecting Jalayagnam

Ysr Congress Party honorary president YS Vijayalakshmi on Wednesday accused the State Government of ignoring the Jalayagnam scheme.

Talking to reporters at the Assembly's media point, Vijayamma said that said that her late husband and former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy launched the Jalayagnam project to convert the State into "Haritha Pradesh". However, she said that the present government has completely ignored the scheme.

Speaking about Pranahita-Chevella project, Vijayamma said that the project's foundation stone was laid during YSR's regime. However, the State Government failed to get National Project status for the same. She alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy Government has turned the "Jalayagnam" project into "Jalabhagnam".

The YSRCP leader assured that the projects under Jalayagnam would be completed soon after YSRCP comes to power after next elections.
