Terming the removal of Dl Ravindra Reddy from the State Cabinet as unfortunate, Rajya Sabha MP Palvai Govardhan Reddy on Sunday criticised Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for taking the decision in anger.

Talking to reporters here, Palvai said that it was not the tradition of Congress Government to sack minister although it was okay to see ministers resign. He said a wrong approach was adopted in removing Ravindra Reddy from the post. He said the decision was unilateral and DL was not even served a show cause notice to enable him to explain his version.

Speaking about the two Congress MPs who had quit the party to join TRS, he said that the decision was taken in haste. He claimed that the Congress High Command had agreed to table the Telangana Bill in Parliament on July 5.

Palvai admitted that the Congress had lost its ground in Seemandhra region to YSR Congress party and Jagan mania. Similarly, the TRS has become stronger in Telangana region due to the delay in taking a decision on the statehood issue.
