Hyderabad, July 27 (TNN): The Andhra Pradesh Assembly was adjourned on Monday amid counter and anti-counter charges trading between the ruling Congress and Opposition Telugu Desam party on Budget speech.When the Assembly met for discussion of budget presented by Finance Minister Rosaiah on Friday, the Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy alleged that corruption was more during the period of TDP regime.
 
Immediately the Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu dared the Chief Minister to conduct a referendum on the Chief Minister’s allegation. This led to pandemonium in the House between the ruling party and Opposition members. Then Chief Minister Dr Rajasekhara Reddy contended that he was ready to conduct referendum if the TDP agrees to include other issues like administration, corruption, murder politics and credibility.

“If Chandrabadu ready on these issues I will fix dates for discussion” said the Chief Minister. For this the TDP leader also agreed. Later, the Chief Minister said in this discussion who ever loses they should quit politics permanently.At this stage, Lok Satta president Jaiprakash Narayan questioned on which act this referendum will be conducted. Then Praja Rajyam chief K Chiranjeevi stated that the political leaders should take public problems as challenges and not personal issues.

Telangana Rashtra Samiti MLA Harish Rao said the TRS would be very happy if these leaders can conduct referendum on Telangana issue.In between the trading of charges and counter charges, the Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy adjourned the session for Tuesday.
