Actor Prakash Raj said his name was deleted from Bengaluru’s voter list during the Special Intensive Revision. In a selfie video, he called it ridiculous as he was born, educated and contested as MP from the same constituency. He was among 65 lakh names reportedly removed in Bengaluru.

He sarcastically asked what documents would be needed to reapply for his voter ID and said he is ready. The revision aims to clean duplicate entries but has triggered criticism over errors. Prakash Raj’s remarks have gone viral, sparking debate on voter rights and electoral transparency in Karnataka.

Separately, Prakash Raj condemned police action in Ranchi against JPSC-JSSC aspirants. Students protesting exam irregularities and paper leaks were lathi-charged, with tear gas and water cannons used. He posted the video asking “Why.. why.. why?” and said such repression will only topple an arrogant government.

The Jharkhand protests, led by JPSC-JSSC Reform Manch, demand a CBI probe. Support has grown with Piyush Mishra visiting the site and singing ‘Aarambh Hai Prachand’, and Sonakshi Sinha backing students. Prakash Raj joined other film voices demanding peaceful resolution and accountability for the candidates.
