Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy on Saturday challenged Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu to move a No Confidence Motion against the Congress Government.

Addressing a press conference here, Venkata Ramana Reddy said that there was no threat to the Congress Government and it was in a position to defeat the No Confidence Motion, if moved by the opposition parties. He also challenged Naidu to come for an open debate on the welfare of farmers.

The Chief Whip also condemned Chandrababu Naidu for criticising the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government. He said that the TDP chief has been targeting the government as he had no other issue to speak. He alleged that Naidu forgot all the promises that he made before 1994 elections and his policies forced farmers to commit suicide during his nine-year rule. He said that Naidu has no moral right to speak about the farmers’ welfare.

Venkata Ramana Reddy said that Chandrababu Naidu would be rejected by the people and he would not be able to retain even the post of Leader of the Opposition after next elections.
