The Sangareddy court on Wednesday again rejected the bail petition of MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi.

A day after his first bail petition was rejected by a local court, Asaduddin Owaisi again applied for bail in the Sangareddy Excise and Prohibition First Class Judicial Magistrate in a case registered against him and others in 2005. However, the court rejected the bail petition again.

Meanwhile, another bail petition has been moved in the Medak Sessions Court and it is likely to be heard post-lunch.

Asaduddin Owaisi was sent to judicial remand for 14-days on Monday after he appeared before the Sangareddy Court in a case registered against him for allegedly abusing the then District Collector Anil Kumar Singhal and his deputy JC Bhima Naik on April 16, 2005 at Mathangi in Patancheru mandal. A non-bailable warrant was pending in the court as he did not appear in the court since 2009.

Following his appearance, the court remanded him to judicial remand till February 2.

Asaduddin Owaisi is presently lodged in Sangreddy Jail.
