Vijayamma to meet Prez seeking Jagan's release

The Ysr Congress party is seeking the intervention of President Pranab Mukherjee for the early release of its president YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who is languishing in Chanchalguda Jail. He was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the disproportionate assets case.

A delegation of YSRCP leaders led by the party’s Honorary President Vijayamma would be meeting President Pranab Mukherjee and submit a representation containing two crore signature appealing for the release of the Kadapa MP. Vijayamma, Lok Sabha MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, DA Somayajulu and other leaders have secured an appointment with the President at 6.15 PM on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Vijayamma thanked the people for the participating in the "Jagan Kosam Janam" campaign wherein signatures were collected seeking Jagan's immediate release. She alleged that following pressure from the Congress Government, the CBI has been creating hurdles in her son's release on bail.
