TRS asks Naidu and Vijayamma to attend all-party meet

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Thursday demanded that the Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress party should announce their support for Telangana State in the all-party meeting to be held on December 28.

Addressing a press conference here, TRS MLA T Harish Rao said that the time has come for Telugu Desam Party N Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress party leader Sharmila to prove their commitment towards the Telangana. He recalled that both the leaders have announced during their padayatras in the region that they never opposed statehood for Telangana region. Therefore, he said that the TDP and YSRCP should clearly support the Telangana state in the all-party meeting.

Harish Rao advised that the TDP president and YSRCP Honorary president YS Vijayamma to personally attend the all-party meeting to ensure that the Centre begins the process of formation of Telangana State. However, he said that both the parties have started deviating from the stand that they announced during padayatras.
