PCC Spokesperson and PM's 20-Point Programme chairman Dr N Tulasi Reddy on Sunday accused the opposition parties of poticising the death of senior TDP leader K Yerran Naidu in a road accident.

Talking to reporters at the State Secretariat, Tulasi Reddy said that after the tragic road accident, the former union minister was not shifted to the hospital in the 108 Ambulance and it was an ambulance run by National Highway Authorities of India. He said it was wrong on the part of Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress party leaders to blame the State Government for Yerran Naidu's death. He accused them of trying to gain political mileage out of a tragic road accident that claimed the life of a senior leader.

Giving the details, he said the 108 Service was launched in 2005 with 30 vehicles by the then Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He said over the years, the services have improved in by 2010, as many as 808 vehicles of 108 Services attend an average of 2,800 calls on daily basis. He said so far, the 108 Ambulances helped in saving thousands of lives across the State.

The PCC spokesperson advised the opposition parties not to politicise Yerran Naidu's death by indulging in wrong propaganda against the State Government.
