Government Whip T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy on Tuesday demanded that former PCC president K Keshava Rao resign from the party instead of resorting to mud-slinging over the Telangana issue.

Talking to reporters at Assembly's media point, Jagga Redy condemned the remarks of Keshava Rao made during his speech at Indira Park on Tuesday. Criticising the former MP for sharing the platform along with other opposition parties, he said Keshava Rao should quit the party if he was so dissatisfied with the Congress High Command. He accused Keshava Rao of tyring to defame the party over the Telangana issue.

Jagga Reddy also alleged that Keshava Rao was taking out his frustration after he was denied extension for his Rajya Sabha membership a few months ago. He said as a member of Rajya Sabha, KK never raised the voice for Telangana either in the Parliament or before the High Command in New Delhi. However, ever since he was denied the post, he has been targeting the Congress party and its leaders.

When asked about the allegations leveled against him by the Hyderabad Civil Society, Jagga Reddy said he was studying the Society's remarks and would reply them in a day or two.
