Hyderabad,Oct 22:The Congress party’s main agenda is the development and welfare of the state, stated Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President D Srinivas here on Thursday.Talking to media persons, the PCC chief thanked the voters of Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh and Haryana states for electing Congress party to power.He said the victory was the result of relentless efforts and guidance given by Congress president Sonia Gandhi and AICC secretary Rahul Gandhi.The government is not against creamy layer among backward classes.

But due to the Supreme Court direction, the government issued orders amending the AP State Subordinate and Service rules incorporating the creamy layer, he added.The party would review the creamy layer issue and take a decision soon, he said.He hoped that the Congress party would win more than 51 percent of voters in elections to be held for 2014 from the state.He expressed confidence that AICC chief Sonia Gandhi will do justice to late chief minister’s son and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy by suitably giving a prominent post.
