Telugu Desam president  N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday stated that the greed of some political leaders has been leading to by-elections once in four months in the State.

Talking to media persons at Rajamundry airport on his way to election campaign at Ramachandrapuram in East Godavari district, Naidu said that the State has witnessed seven by-elections since 2009 and they benefited only the corrupt politicians while burdening the common man and State's exchequer. Stating that next by-elections in the State were caused to test the popularity of Jagan, he alleged that a section of media has colluded with Jagan group to benefit YSR Congress party in the ensuing elections.

However, he said that the TDP would continue its fight against corruption and expose the corrupt leaders before the people. He asked as to why the State Government has not initiated action against former government advisor and Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao, who helped Jagan in amassing illegal wealth.

Stating that the Congress Government has lost its moral right to continue in power for its involvement in corruption, Naidu said that the officials were not in a position to work fearing CBI arrests and the industrialists have going to other cities with investments due to wrong policies of the government.

Asked about the Presidential nominee, Chandrababu Naidu said that he would take a decision on the issue after consulting his party leaders after the completion of by-elections.
