Telugu Desam Party deputy floor leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu on Wednesday demanded an explanation from the State and Centre on why the Central Bureau of Investigation did not arrest Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in connection with disproportionate assets case.

Talking to media persons at Telugu Desam Legislature Party Office, Muddukrishnama Naidu alleged that the probing agency backed out from the arrest of Jagan after he had a meeting with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in New Delhi. Despite the court asking the probing agency why it has not arrested the accused No 1 Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said that the CBI failed to give proper explanation to the court.

Suspecting that the Congress party had a `secret pact’ with Jagan over extending support to UPA Government, he demanded Congress president Sonia Gandhi to give an explanation about it. He alleged that Sonia Gandhi might have also got her share in the corruption of State. He said that both Congress and YSR Congress party leaders have colluded in the corruption and in sharing of properties.

TDP MLA Lingareddy took serious note on Congress in-charge of state affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad and Congress emissary Vayalar Ravi for their interference in the administration of State Government. He said that both the leaders were not allowing Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to take decision on his own and forcing him to depend on High Command even for trivial issues. He also criticized Azad for sitting on the Chief Minister’s chair at Camp Office in a recent meeting while insulting the people of State.

Lingareddy demanded that the Congress High Command give a free hand to the Chief Minister in taking decisions on policy matters.
