Bharatiya Janata Party state president G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday described the suspension of eight Congress MPs from the Lok Sabha for the cause of Telangana as `political drama’.

Talking to media persons at party office at Nampally, he alleged that the Congress MPs stalled the proceedings in the Lok Sabha at the behest of Telangana Rashtra Samithi. As the MPs have no future with the Congress due to its delaying tactics on the Telangana issue, he said that the MPs were giving clear signs that they would join the TRS in the event Centre fails to take a favourable decision on the bifurcation of State issue.

Kishan Reddy said that the Telangana MPs staged dharna in the Parliament not for the Telangana cause, but with an eye on the  next elections. Fearing loss in the by-elections, he said that the MPs were resorting to such 'dramas' and 'cheap tricks' in the Parliament.

If the Congress was really committed for the Telangana state, he demanded that the party move a bill on Telangana in the on-going budget session of Parliament. He said that the Bjp would extend support to the UPA Government in passing the Telangana Bill. He said that the Bjp would move a resolution on Telangana in both the houses of Parliament on April 27.

The Bjp president said that TRS has no moral right to criticize Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj. If the TRS was really committed for the separate State, they should make concrete efforts towards achieving Telangana, he said.
