Ysr Congress Party on Wednesday appealed to the media to refrain from being influenced by the malicious reports being published by a section of press against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his family members to mislead the public.

“The speculative reports on the arrest of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy are one such example and the reports are not sourced properly and is against the ethics of journalism which needs to be very objective,” party spokesperson Bajireddy Goverdhan told reporters here.

Is the section of media, controlled by vested interests, trying influence and give direction to the CBI by publishing such reports or is it part of a larger conspiracy to defame YSR and his family members, he asked.

Why should YS Jagan be arrested? There are many Chief Ministers whose children have business interests and there is nothing wrong in that, he said.

YS Jagan, had told the same thing to a national channel last night. “Why should I be arrested was the answer he gave to a persistent question on the subject and the anchor had to give up after he said you throw the same question (on my arrest) and I the throw it (answer) back to you again.”

“There is nothing wrong in industrialists coming forward to invest in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s companies. The land was acquired by Hetro after paying adequate compensation to the farmers and in tune with the government policies,” Bajireddy said.

The same procedure is being adopted in West Bengal by Chief Minister, MamataBenerjee and in Gujarat by Chief Minister, NarendraModi. To attract investments and industries certain amenities should be provided and the industrial development should be put back on the right track in the State instead of scaring investors away, he said.

The kingpin of all scams and his associates are being left out by the section of media, he said, be it the IMG or other irregularities that have come out find no mention to those who are conspiring with political affiliation.

Chandrababu Naidu, who once called CBI as Congress Bureau of investigation with his suddenly new found love has been all praise for the investigation agency and his doublespeak is a known pattern in Andhra Pradesh polity.

Moral values and credibility are the two vital aspects for any media house and in the recent past things are in the open, more so in flashing speculative news with regard to our party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said.
