Don't move 'No Confidence Motion': CPI to Naidu

Communist Party Of India state secretary K Narayana on Monday advised Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu not to move the No Confidence Motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government.

Talking to media persons in the city, Narayana said that the TDP should avoid a No Trust Move against the government as it could backfire and could lead to reunification of all groups within the Congress. "The Congress leaders would sink their differences if they sense that they would lose power due to No Confidence Motion," he said. However, he said that the CPI would support the No Confidence Motion, if it is introduced in the ensuing assembly session.

Narayana suspected that the government would wind up the winter session of legislative assembly within four days fearing backlash from the opposition parties on various issues. He said that the CPI would grill the government on drought, minimum support price for farm produce, crop holiday in some parts of state and problems of students.
