The Telugu Desam Party on Monday levelled serious allegations against the State High Court for ordering probe into the alleged illegal assets of Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Talking to reporters at NRT Trust Bhavan, senior MLA Gali Muddukrishnamma Naidu said that the High Court passed the order in an "urgency". He alleged that the judicial procedures were not followed properly while issuing the order. He said the court had directed the Central Bureau of Investigation and other agencies to conduct preliminary probe without giving an opportunity to Naidu to give his clarification.

Gali cited some instances, wherein judiciary was influenced by the ruling party. However, he did not make any direct allegation against the High Court judges who passed the orders. He also announced that the TDP would not challenge the High Court orders in the Supreme Court. He said no attempt, even through benamis, to stall the probe.

The TDP leader alleged that the Congress was afraid of Naidu's growing stature as a national leader. He said that Naidu was targeted through this probe to ensure that he does not pose any threat to Rahul Gandhi, who is being projected as the next prime ministerial candidate. He also alleged that the YSR Congress party was hand-in-glove with the Congress and together they have tried to tarnish Chandrababu Naidu's image.

Strongly defending Chandrababu Naidu, MLA M Narasimhulu said that several top leaders of the Congress party were involved in the major scams across the country. He demanded that the CBI should also investigate into the involvement of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in 2G Spectrum and Commonwealth Games scams.

Narasimhulu alleged that the ruling party was resorting to witch hunting against Chandrababu Naidu due to his growing popularity at the national level. Criticising the YSR Congress party, he alleged that it was having a secret pact with the Congress. He said the No Confidence Motion, to be moved by the TDP in the ensuing session of the legislative assembly, would expose the YSR Congress party and the MLAs supporting it.

Referring to the statements made by Jagan group MLAs Jayasudha and Adi Narayana saying that they would support the government during No Trust Vote, another TDP MLA Lingareddy alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy was 'renting out' his MLAs to save the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government.
