The Minister said that he was ready to resign as Minister and also from the Congress party if the Centre takes a decision against the separate statehood of Telangana. He also criticized Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for making provocative statements against Telangana. He also condemned government action suspending 1200 contract drivers and conductors of Road Transport Corporation for participating in the general strike of employees.

Condemning ambivalent attitude of Telugu Desam party on separate statehood issue, he said the Centre would announce decision on Telangana within one week if Chandrababu Naidu gives his consent letter on Telangana. He slammed the TDP Forum members for not getting consent letter from Naidu on Telangana and enacting political drama to get attention of Telangana people.

The Minister also criticised Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for cursing Congress leaders. He reminded him that it was only Congress which could bring Telangana. He also appealed to PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana to play active role in the formation of Telangana by prevailing upon Seemandhra leaders.
