The ongoing Political Scenario in the state with reference to CBI probe against the Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy shows the ruling Congress party in an advantageous position. However, the YSR Congress party president is devising a strategy to turn the tables against the ruling party by unveiling the skeletons hidden in the Congress' cupboard.

According to sources, Jagan Mohan Reddy is busy finalising a plan, to retaliate the actions of the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana and other leaders who elaborately used the ongoing CBI probe to defame Jagan and also his father and former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, to some extent.

It is a well known fact that while YSR was in power, Jagan used his clout to expand his business and multiply his wealth by twisting all rules. YSR's clout helped Jagan and his business partners in securing land allotments at various places, including many allotments in the Special Economic Zones throughout the State, at the cost of the tax-payers. However, now Jagan contends that he was not fault and all the decisions were made by the YSR and his cabinet. Jagan camp says it were the then Cabinet Ministers who gave nod to allotment of land to various companies like Emaar Properties, Matrix, Aurobindo Pharma, Carmel Asia and Indu Projects, among others.

So far the CBI has issued notices to 10 companies as part of the on-going probe against Jagan's alleged illegal wealth. Leaders loyal to Jagan says that everyone who figured in the said allotments be punished first, including the Cabinet Ministers who approved those allotments.

Jagan is also gearing up to drag some leaders who form the Congress High Command at New Delhi. Sources says that during the YSR's regime money bags traveled extensively and clandestinely to New Delhi in the name of party funds towards expenses for elections held in various states. Jagan wants to drag Ahmed Patel, Sonia Gandhi’s political secretary, into the enquiry that he is facing now. Analysts say that Jagan would try to emulate former telecom minister A Raja did by naming the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Home Minister P Chidambaram. Jagan might also name the Congress leaders ministers who palyed a role in allotment of lands or extended other benefits to him and his partners.

Currently the Jagan camp’s strategy is to launch a similar diatribe against those who had sufficiently benefitted by YSR. The camp is also optimistic that some people in New Delhi would extend their support to them in their latest venture. This is the right handle to bend the high command and it also offers an effective insulation to Jagan to escape the embarrassments in future.

Sources also revealed that Ahmed Patel utilized at optimum level the YSR's handle to get ‘works done' and if exposed at an appropriate hour the Congress would come to reason. Jagan camp believes that there is no other alternative except pulling the Congress leaders’ legs to gain some respite for the time being and this is sure to malign the ruling party’s name at the Centre particularly at a time when the social activist Anna Hazare’s has launched a tirade against the Congress on corruption.
