Central Bureau Of Investigation joint director J D Laxminarayana on Monday denied reports that the agency was facing political pressure in continuing the probe against Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Emaar properties.

Talking to media persons, Laxminarayana said that the CBI would complete the probe in a fair and transparent manner and submit its report to AP High Court soon. He said the investigation agency conducted raids on Jagan offices and residences and Emaar properties following directions from the high court.

Stating that the searches and raids were completed in the first phase, Laxminarayana said agency would begin the next phase of investigation after verifying the seized documents and hard disks. He said a special team of officials have been assignment the job of verifying the seized documents and hard disks. After completion of verification, he said arrest notices, would be issued against the accused. He said that the agency has got vital documents in connection with both cases.

Responding to a query, Laxminarayana said that further searches would be conducted on the investors who invested in Jagan companies, if found necessary. He said Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal’s brother Lagadapati Sridhar name was not included in the FIR as he had not received any profits on his investments in Jagan firms.
