Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Saturday called upon the rebel leaders and workers to rejoin the Congress party those to fulfill the dreams of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Talking to media persons after paying floral tributes to Rajiv Gandhi to mark his 67th birth anniversary at Gandhi Bhavan, Botsa exhorted the workers to work for realizing the dreams of Rajiv Gandhi. Recalling Rajiv Gandhi’s services, he said the former Prime Minister has contributed immensely in the fields of science and technology and agriculture. He dreamt of building a strong nation based on the power of youth.

Participating as chief guest in the programme, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy recalled the services of Rajiv Gandhi in bringing IT sector to the forefront, which enabled India compete with the US.

Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha described Rajiv Gandhi as the man who protected secularism and interests of poor and backward classes.

Former chief ministers K Rosaiah called upon youth to follow the path of Rajiv Gandhi to come up in their life.

Former chief minister Nadendla Bhaskar Rao,   Ministers Danam Nagender, Mukesh Goud, D L Ravindra Reddy, D Manikya Vara Prasad and Kasu Krishna Reddy, MPs G Vivek, Anjan kumar Yadav, ponnam Prabhakar, S Rajaiah, Komatireddy Rajagopal, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Mayor Bhandaru Karthika Reddy, former PCC chief D Srinivas and RTC chairman M Satyanarayana paid rich floral tributes to Rajiv Gandhi and recalled his services to the nation.
